Have to face up to it…

Wot a week!

So, my picture fell off the radiator(retrieved for me by my brother from France after a ten year gap!) cracked the glass on my Mac and I finally finished the Flash Mob thingy in Eastbourne and then had to activate my Facebook page to promote it and they are chopping down my favourite tree opposite my flat……

A new screen would have cost £400 from Apple but I got one on eBay for less than £40 and my very clever son in law fitted it. At the same time he fixed a fan problem so that now I can hear myself think – which is not necessarily a good thing?

Despite my fears about who and how many might turn up for my little flash mob charity event in Eastbourne – the answer is enough. It all went off without a hitch – when I say without a hitch I mean, the first boom box didn’t work properly so it was take 3 with a new boom box by the time it went ok. I got home and spent hours editing – some of it with Liam & Claire who came to help. After they left I only had a couple of things to do but then it turned out that the software was corrupted and I had to start the whole process all over again – so, without a hitch…

How is being on Facebook? I actually don’t like it. Don’t feel like posting anything other than promo stuff for Relay For Life and the Steampunk Day Hastings and find it somehow worse than when I left it. I thought it might be fun to pop back on and surprise people with my temporary re-emergence and obviously hoped that it might help promote the Relay For Life Eastbourne charity. It is weird though because one or two seemed genuinely happy to see me on there whilst obviously not realising that it was a temporary thing and others seem happy to ignore me with the balance probably not even noticing that I had left and come back…

I am now in the position where I don’t want to leave to early and I don’t want to make a drama out of it plus there are some things that might happen in the run up to Steampunk Day that might need dealing with in a public arena – unlike this site which is basically me rambling (happily!) to myself…

So, in the way of all great thinkers I am going to do – nothing! At the moment anyway and put the decision off. I shall continue to ramble on here though – as you can see!

and the flash mob has had over 570 views now so that makes it worthwhile as long as a tiny local percentage actually think about Relay For Life Eastbourne…

  2. I’ve no idea but I do like dawdling away on here unlike the dread fb! Anyway, the good news is that we are getting closer to 4 Men and a Brewery…
